Last night Harper got a call to meet the Bishop this morning at 11 and I was to accompany him. So this morning as we were waiting our turn, poor Bishop had appointments all morning trying to organize a new ward. Any ways a sister introduced herself as the Lone Pine ward Primary president and wanted to meet our kids. I introduced them and told their ages. She mentioned that she has lost her nursery leaders and I was a little concerned with Ruthie since she had just got settled with her old teachers so I volunteered to help in the nursery, she was very grateful. When it was our turn to go in they asked Harper to be the scout master. We both smiled at that he was kind of anticipating it. Well since we were there they decided to extend a calling to me too, they has JUST received my name to be the new nursery leader, how ironic since the Primary president had just met me and then was in with the Bishop while her husband was called to be the Varsity Coach. She must have had some immediate inspiration!!! So we are back to wednesday night activities and weekend over nighters. I have never served in the nursery and am excited because I can't think of a less intimidating class!!! There were 7 today and a pretty calm group so that was comforting!!
The pinewood derby car is almost finished!! Harper was also asked to be the announcer at it this saturday, he can't image why they would ask him, I think it is hilarious!!!
The ward seems to be filled with a lot of wonderful members and the kids all recognized faces from school so I think it will be an easy transition!!
